What is your role within the organization?
I am an engineer, not only at work but in my spare time. I started on Westermo as a thesis student, and now continue my career as a trainee. I’m stationed as a software developer in the team of Vanguard, where I aim my attention towards cybersecurity.
Why did you choose to join the Westermo trainee program?
When I was looking for a subject for my thesis, I stumbled upon Westermo by coincidence. The ambition of Westermo matches my interest and I was excited when I was accepted as a thesis student. After writing my thesis work at Westermo, I knew I wanted to continue my career with the company. The trainee program seemed like the perfect opportunity to delve deeper into Westermo, gaining experience while working alongside competent colleagues.
What areas of cybersecurity are you particularly interested in exploring or mastering?
Cybersecurity is a wide subject, reaching into almost all areas of a system. It is impossible for me to choose, but currently, I am continuing the path of my thesis work. I developed an AI that lived inside Westeros devices, listening for attacks on the network. In this subject, there are great expansion opportunities, and I would very much like to continue my work in this area.
