To strengthen our team in Switzerland, we are looking for you to join us at the earliest possible date as: Wireless Application Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the key point of contact for technical support topics related to wireless solutions within international customer projects. Your focus will be on supporting OEM customers, implementing migration scenarios, and further developing test environments and applications.
As the central point of contact, you will provide 1st-level support for OEM customers and ensure fast and sustainable problem resolution
You will develop customer-specific migration concepts and support their implementation in close coordination with customers – both remotely and on-site
Building, further developing, and optimizing test systems (manual and automated) will be part of your responsibilities
By maintaining and expanding internal test environments, you will actively contribute to improving software development efficiency
During pre- and post-sales phases, you will contribute your technical expertise and support the planning, configuration, and validation of wireless and network solutions
You will conduct feasibility studies for new technologies and concepts and evaluate their practical applications
You will set up and support test systems with a focus on cellular technologies
You will actively work on next-generation Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) solutions and support their integration
What You Bring
A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, industrial IT, or a comparable qualification
Strong Linux expertise, including daily use, system administration, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and scripting
A solid IT/OT background and a good understanding of networking technologies and concepts, including TCP/IP and routing
Experience with Python or other scripting languages, as well as automation and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible)
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to systematically trace and resolve issues, understand end-to-end data flows, and work across system interfaces
A structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented way of working, combined with strong planning, teamwork, and customer-facing skills
Willingness to travel occasionally
Confident communication skills in English and French; German is a plus
