At Westermo, we are continuously evolving, implementing smarter and more efficient ways of working. As part of this exciting journey, our Logistics and Distribution team is now looking for a proactive and communicative Production Planner to join our factory in Stora Sundby.
Are you our new Production Planner?
To keep our factory running smoothly and efficiently, we need the right materials in the right place at the right time. That’s where you come in. As a Production Planner at Westermo, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations are well-coordinated and responsive to changing demands.
This is a dynamic role where your ability to see the big picture, communicate clearly, and solve problems will be essential. You’ll collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Order Administration, and other teams to create and maintain production plans that support both short- and long-term goals.
You’ll primarily focus on daily and weekly production planning, but your work will also contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
Some examples of your tasks:
- Maintain Master Schedule & MRP/IPR in line with Westermo Production System guidelines
- Develop monthly and weekly production plans for Operations
- Actively participate in S&OP, new product introductions, and change order processes
- Plan production through bottlenecks (internal & sub suppliers) – Constraints Planning & adjustments
- Evaluate customer and internal engineering demand on a regular basis
- Monitor yield, scrap rate, and other key manufacturing metrics
- Handle deviations in the production schedule and ensure On Time Delivery
- Introduce and follow up on new process times for products and prototypes
- Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Collaborate with internal logistics and procurement to secure material availability
- Produce, communicate, and adjust a balanced production plan
- Contribute to both tactical and strategic planning forums within Westermo
So, who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with experience in production planning who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy solving problems, are curious about improving processes, and aren’t afraid of change. You’re structured and thorough in your work, but also flexible and open-minded when new demands arise. You’re a strong communicator who can build good relationships across team.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an ERP
- Solid understanding of MRP and multi-level production planning
- Strong Excel skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
- Experience working in IFS (our ERP)
- Familiar with Lean and adjacent tools and methods
- Formal training in Production Engineering or similar
