Westermo develops and manufactures advanced products for industrial data communication that are used in mission-critical installations and in harsh industrial environments. Communication networks built from our products are very robust and secure and provide high value for our customers.
Are you our new Technical Sales Engineer?
On March 1, 2024, we established our own office in Denmark, building on the legacy from the previous distributor who handled our product sales in the region. Due to our significant success, we are now seeking an additional salesperson to further expand our business with both new and existing customers.
Your responsibilities will include prospecting, acquiring, and developing new customers, in addition to expanding our existing customer base. Our focus segments are the Energy sector, Train and Trackside, Marine and Automation. You will oversee part of our Danish clients, with the objective of growing our market and customer portfolio. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with our Country Manager in Denmark and the Managing Director in Sweden.

The primary responsibilities include identifying and understanding customers' network solution requirements and proposing solutions based on Westermo's products and services. We employ several value-based sales techniques. You will collaborate closely with the local Country Manager, as well as a team comprising technical support, inside sales, and pre-sales specialists based in Västerås, Sweden. The role requires travel to customer sites, office based tasks and occasionally meetings at the head office in Sweden.
So, who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced inside sales person who wants to take a step towards a more outside sales role, as this i a role that combines both tasks. You are a team player who loves to interact with customers, solve problems, and believes in our products, solutions, and services. You are an excellent communicator who has the ability to engage, challenge, educate and influence others. You are motivated by the mix of the work: contacting potential new customers, as well as developing existing.
Also, you are comfortable working independently, but at the same time see the big picture and contribute and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements:
- Experience in selling technical products through value-based selling.
- Knowledge and experience in the Industrial Automation and/or Energy industry.
- High integrity and honesty, with a strong ethical approach to sales.
- Fluent in Danish and English.
- Drivers license
Meritorious:
- Experience with SalesForce/MS Office.
- Preferably a background in the IT and/or OT industry
- Higher Education in Technology
- Technical background in industrial data communication and/or process automation
- Experience from one or more of our focus segments (Water/Wastewater, ITS, Marine, Train and Trackside or Energy) is an advantage.

- Type of employment: Permanent, full-time
- Salary: According to experience and background, incl. pension scheme, bonus, health insurance and company car if appplicable.
- Workplace: Køge, Denmark (you will be expected to travel to customers in Denmark on a regular basis, but few over night stays.)
