Westermo is seeking a skilled Network Application Specialist to join our team and support our customers in the energy sector. As a Network Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding and addressing the data communication and cyber security needs of our clients.

Are you our new Network Application Engineer?

In this role, you will get a great mix of network technology and customer relations! Perhaps you meet a potential client at an industry fair. Or, a colleague in one of our global sales teams needs your assistance. Either way, your task is to listen to and understand the customers’ needs, and work with them and other colleagues at Westermo to propose the solution. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and analyze customer requirements in the energy sector related to data communication and cyber security.
• Design and set up robust network solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Act as a pre-sales engineer, working closely with customers worldwide to provide technical expertise and support.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of network solutions.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to provide on-site support and consultation.

So, who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has a background working with Data Communication, i.e. Networks. You are technically savvy, but what really motivates you is solving a customer’s challenge. You enjoy communication with others, and are comfortable giving presentations for smaller groups. Taking ownership and responsibility for your work are important aspects in this role. You think that Quality is key and understand how important Teamwork is.

Requirements:

• Academic Degree in Engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of network technology and experience in designing and setting up networks.
• Strong understanding of data communication and cyber security principles.
• Fluent in English; and at least intermediate proficiency in Swedish.
• Willingness to travel as part of the job. (Approx. 6-10times per year)

Meritorious:

• Software Background
• Driving license
• Other languages (than Swedish and English)
• Knowledge in Visio and/or GNS3
