Westermo might be best known for our robust and reliable industrial data communications solutions for demanding applications in the transport, water, and energy markets all over the world. The routers and switches are powered with our own Linux based, leading-edge industrial network operating system - WeOS. And our Software development teams continuously develop and improves the WeOS product.
The Software development is done in a Lean and Agile way, on cadence with increments and sprints. The work is organized in a program that including all the SW teams. Since we are growing the SW Program Management team that manage the program backlog and releases are looking for one more member to work as a Release Manager and Agile Backlog Owner.
Are you our new Release Manager and Agile Backlog Owner?
In this role, you will be supporting the SW teams to work and deliver on the right things, according to the demands and priorities. You will be working together with your colleagues in the same role within the SW Program Management team. In collaboration with our Product Managers, domain experts, Product Project Managers and of course in close collaboration with our excellent SW teams and architects.
As Backlog Owner, you manage the priority of the team backlog to streamline the execution.
You will handle the work backlog for some of the SW teams and coordinating the priorities within the program. A key part of the role is to collaborate, coordinate to determining and accepting the definition of done. In the Release Manager role, you will manage the release activities, including communication about the development status and quality.
In essence, the goal is to help and support the development teams to prioritize and to facilitate the ongoing development. Removing obstacles and coaching the teams to let us be as effective and efficient as possible.
So, who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a background in SW development, working in a Lean and Agile way. You might have been a technical project manager, product-, or backlog owner before. You like to see the bigger picture, are good at facilitating and coaching teams. You are structured and innovative; both in terms of solving problems and trying out new ideas and ways of working.

Requirements:
- Academic Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Communicative, with a coaching approach
Meritorious:
- Knowledge in Computer Network Technologies
- Skills in C programming
- Knowledge in Linux development
