At the Heart of R&D, the System Architects of Westermo ensures that the product architecture is suitable for defining efficient system solutions. In our System architect group, we work together to make sure that our hardware and software platforms are designed to support our company strategy and roadmaps.
As a System Architect at Westermo, you have the opportunity to pave the way for our technological future, in close collaboration with development teams, product managers and other global stakeholders within the Westermo Group. In this key position you will focus on our own Operating System WeOS, which is based on Linux kernel and Open Source libraries software with additional custom Westermo solutions. In a nutshell, this job orchestrates the transformation of the existing solutions with trying to understand the future needs from the market. Are you our new Software System Architect?
As a Software System Architect at Westermo, you will be working in a team consisting of Architects with responsibilities for both HW and SW solutions. Together in the team, you steer the development of our platforms and product lines. You will work together with the developing teams in the Westermo Group, but also with the Product Managers at our Product Office. It is important that you have ability to put your self in the customers shoes and understand their needs in order to create the right solutions. As a team, you will have the chance to work with future platforms, solutions and technologies, as well as the current products.
So, who are we looking for?
We are looking for a communicative and pedagogical technical leader who empowers developers and creates energy! Someone with a solid software background, experienced within Software Architecture and System Design. A true collaborator, Linux-enthusiast and someone who can switch between a helicopter view and zooming in on the details with ease.
- M.Sc. in Software Engineering or similar
- Embedded software systems knowledge
- Experienced (and loving) Linux developer
- Skilled programmer in C
- Knowledge of network technologies
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Understanding of Hardware Design and Processes
- Product development experience
