So, who are we looking for?
Westermo Data Communication, the sales company of Westermo in Sweden and Finland, is now looking for a Area Sales Manager for the south of Sweden to prospect, win and develop new customers and grow and develop our current customer base.
Your main responsibility is to build, manage and develop a key geographic region for Westermo. Developing growth comes through active prospecting of selected target customers in prioritized industry verticals and applications.
Market plans are established through team work together with your manager and colleagues. Westermo is "the small company with the large customers" and there is an interesting mix of large OEMs, medium sized system integrators and end users but also plenty of steady day-to-day recurring business from smaller loyal customers. Your main task is to develop the market further. You need to be proficient in prospecting and embrace a hunting sales attitude and methodology. At the same time, you need to nurture and develop the existing customer base. The job requires extensive travel (50% plus) within the region, so a base in southern Sweden is preferred. Alternatively, you can be based in Västerås at our HQ, with regular travel to southern Sweden.
The day-to-day tasks will involve understanding customers’ networking needs and recommending solutions based on Westermo’s products and services, challenging the customer’s mindset using value-based selling techniques, and successfully closing business. You work in a tight team together with colleagues in technical support, inside sales and you often team up with field application pre-sales engineers.
We are looking for someone who loves meeting customers, solving problems and truly believes in our products, solutions and services. A great communicator with the ability to engage, challenge, educate and influence others.
- Experience in technical product value-based selling.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Industrial Automation, Rail and/or Energy Industries.
- Comfortable in working independently but can also see the bigger picture and contribute and share knowledge with the team.
- You are a person of high integrity and honesty, with a strong ethical approach to sales.
- Excellent knowledge in written and spoken Swedish and English.
- Experienced user of SalesForce as CRM.
- Technical background in industrial data communication.
- Additional Scandinavian/Nordic languages is a plus.
