Westermo UK was founded in 1995 offering local sales and support to customers in the UK and Ireland and is based in Southampton.
Westermo UK is a company which prides itself in delivering first class technical support services to its customers. As well as delivering customer training the Technical Trainer will be a part of the technical support team and provide support to customers to backup other team members at busy times.
To provide customer training on Westermo products & technologies. Delivering both standard courses prepared by Westermo head office as well as bespoke training to meet customer requirements. Courses may be delivered at Westermo’s UK premises, customer premises, a third-party venue or online.
Prepare and maintain training equipment in good working order. Ensure that training material is ready for courses and is of high quality.
Liaise with Westermo HQ to improve standard materials. Create own materials for bespoke customer courses.
Support salesmen in selling training courses. Helping to set pricing for bespoke courses.
Ensure training website is up to date with available courses.
Promote training courses both internally and externally using the support of the marcoms team.
Provide telephone and email technical support to customers and internal staff when not training and provide cover when other members of the team are unavailable.
Occasional beta testing of new software and product firmware releases and new functions.
Create and maintain documentation on the connectivity and configuration of products e.g. application notes for customers and internal engineering notes.
Westermo are looking for a professional with a technical background and a strong knowledge of IP routing and Ethernet Switching.
A degree level qualification in a technology based subject and/or a Cisco CCNA would be advantageous.
